Knoxville

~I was in Knoxville, Tennessee for the past two weeks, and did some exploring while I was there:

The impressive United Methodist Church in downtown Knoxville.
View of the same church taken from the observation deck of the "Sunsphere", a tower built for the 1982 World's Fair.
View of downtown Knoxville from the Sunsphere.
Looking west from the Sunsphere.
World's Fair Park. The central area was drained for the winter, but will soon be filled with water and fountains.
It's a long way down!
A path in High Ground Park.
A flooded quarry south of downtown, across the river. Some ducks out on the water had the whole lake to themselves.
I also visited Fort Dickerson, a Civil War historical site in Knoxville.
A path around the exterior of the fort, showing what remains of the earth walls.
Sign in front of the fort.
Reproduction of a three-inch ordinance rifle, light artillery that could be moved around the fort to different firing positions as needed.
A monument at the bustling Market Square.
