- Elizabeth City State University (ECSU), which is part of the UNC system.
- The College of the Albermarle (CoA), which is the main campus of the regional community college system.
- Mid-Atlantic Christian University (MAC U). It's a private Christian university which, like ECSU, is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). They have a dual-enrollment arrangement with both ECSU and CoA. Aside from Biblical Studies, MAC U also offers programs in education, business, and biology.
In the interests of professional networking and courtesy, I arranged a meeting at Watson-Griffith Library at MAC U to meet the staff there.
I also recently visited the College of the Albermarle, so I will be posting some pictures from there soon, too.

| The MAC U campus is only 5 minutes from ECSU. Dorms and student areas, including the library, are on one side of the street along the Pasquotank River. Academic and administrative buildings are on the other side of the street. |

| This isn't the first, nor the second large novelty deck chair I've seen in the area. Perhaps a furniture salesman went around the area offering local businesses and schools a good deal? |

| Inside the library. Given the size of the school, their library was larger than I expected. It has three floors (the top-most one is storage), and the high ceilings, natural lighting, and wood paneling give it a classy and airy feel. |

| The stacks. The MAC U library has a good-sized collection, as well as records and materials inherited from their merger with Eastern Christian College in 2005. They also subscribe to several specialized databases to support their various academic programs. |
